Die hard

(1988)

Directed by John McTiernan in 1988, "Die hard" relates John McClane's (Bruce Willis) adventures in Los Angeles. This guy, a New-York cop, arrives at the Los Angeles airport to spend Christmas with his wife, Holly (Bonnie Bedelia), who works there, and their children. A cab driver is waiting for him to drive John at the Nakatomi Plazza, a new building where his wife works. After a quarrel because John haven't had accepted that she works outhere, he hoped that they could find them again and reconcile themselves. However, after another quarrel, Holly left her office, leaving John alone, and she came back to the party made by her company. At this moment, the building was taken by a group of terrorists, leaded by Hans Gruber, who took the guests hostages and locked the communication systems...

It's the first movie of Alan, he plays a Hans Gruber very smart and cute. He took the german accent to make this movie. It's him who have asked to the director to have a costume. It's a very good action movie, with humour and good special effects. Bruce Willis is very funny in it and the humour has been kept for the french version. :) In the DVD bonus, we learn that for the fall of Hans, Alan haven't been informed of the beginning signal, which gives more realism to the scene. :)
